Happiness

Disclaimer:  After reading through this post, I realize it sounds a little cliche' and not real.  But, you have to read it from the perspective of someone (me) who has been uphappy all week long, and has had the light bulb turned on.  So, there you go.

Yesterday was one of my favorite "comment days" ever.  I have the opportunity to be participating in TWO giveaways right now, see here and here , and one of the entries asked you to comment and share something that made you smile (great idea, Kate!).

I cannot begin to express the happiness that I felt ready each of those comments!

You shared things like:

Morning coffee
giggles/dancing with you sweet children
 husband/boyfriend cuddles
 great surprises/accomplishments

Wonderful things!!  What made me smile yesterday???

YOU did .  your comments
my daddy/daughter dinner date last night
playing a new computer game with Andrew
hearing wonderful, uplifting stories from my co-workers

So, today, I am making an effort to put a smile on the face of every person I encounter.  I know I may complain about my problems/unhappiness, but then I have to remind myself that I am the one who decides if I'm going to be happy.  And I definitely choose happy today. :)

I hope you do the same, friends!  Life is too short to be sad.
Have a wonderful, happy weekend!

  2. Definitely a good reminder girl. It really IS the little things that can bring the most happiness. On my most stressful days, sometimes all I need is a silly text from a friend, a good song on the radio, anything! :)

    Have a FANTASTIC weekend, friend!!

  4. Isn't it amazing how easily our mood can change with some simple words? Hoping today's is just as happy for you (since, you know, I'm just now reading this post :D)

  5. Sometimes when I'm not happy, if I force myself to smile or "be happy" to go out in public, I end up being happy anyway!! I'm glad you were able to find happiness in the midst of some unhappiness :)
